Ten years ago

Seventeen years ago, I started blogging. It was 2004. I was single. Although I had a pathetic boyfriend then, I still considered myself single.

I wrote about anything and everything. This and that. Happy and sad. I kept writing. I wasn't really good at it, but I enjoyed talking about my day to, well, no one really.

Then, it stopped. I found the one and got married. Everything was going well, and I started writing in a new blog. On and off. It eventually became my only avenue to vent my feelings when my then husband became terminally ill. He passed away in 2011. And I stopped writing.

I stopped writing blog ten years ago. I remarried in 2013, had a baby in the same year. Three years later another baby. The work got busy. And I completely forgot this piece of life I had before.

Today, ten years after my last post, I decided to look back at my life. My blog posts were a complete eye opener. It was nourishing to read about some of the funny, weird, happy, scary, sad, and amazing thing I did many years ago. My life before it got way more complicated than it should.

So, here's me. Ten years later. A lot wiser and heavier. Sitting in lockdown due to a pandemic no one saw coming. Residing in a country I never thought would end up in.

Let's go.
